Site Reliability Engineer

  • Focus on observability, availability, reliability, measurability & latency
  • Infrastructure as code mindset
  • Key skills:

  • AWS : DynamoDB, EKS/EC2 (pods, clusters, nodes, docker), IAM role management, Terraform (and TF Cloud)
  • Tech stack : node.js, hapi, Typescript
  • About us

Immersve are a global Mastercard issuer. Our partners are crypto and fintech companies. Together we issue Mastercard cards backed by on-chain funds, enabling cardholders to make real-world purchases in the same way they would with a traditional bank's Mastercard.

Our partners bring the people and the wallets. We bring the card programme, issuing, scheme relationships, and the compliance framework behind them.

Making that feel ordinary is the hard part. Blockchains, card schemes and financial regulators were built in different decades by people who never expected to meet each other, and our platform is where they do. None of it is solved by following a manual. It takes people who can work the problem out from first principles, and then build it.

    The Role

As a full stack software engineer you will be involved with designing and developing APIs, UIs, infrastructure-as-code and automated tests. You will be working with a growing team of experienced engineers in a highly-collaborative, remote-first environment headquartered in Auckland, NZ.

    Key considerations for the role:

  • Full CI/CD with multiple daily deploys to production, including day one! 🚀
  • Be a contributor to all aspects of the product, from initial design 🤔 to roadmap scoping and delivery; 📦
  • A true devOps role that allows you to flex your muscle 💪 in your area of expertise and grow in others ;🌱
  • Strong developer principals that put focus on code quality 💎 and performance; 🏎️
  • Bleeding edge technologies that will allow you to establish new tools and patterns as the product and technologies evolve. 🔪
  • AI native development, where agents do the heavy lifting and you own the outcome 🤖
  • About you

You are first and foremost a team player. 🥰

You are also an excellent coder who is keen on shaping technology and culture in a growing team. You are able to work independently in face of unknowns, taking initiative to reach out to stakeholders and expose requirements.

You work comfortably full stack — from cloud infrastructure and database to APIs. You may not be familiar with all our tech stack but are interested in learning. You may have exposure or be curious about blockchain and smart contract development.

You embrace a continuous delivery mindset — working in small batches, verifying the correctness of your work at each increment. You are comfortable contributing to high level technical designs and mentoring others.

    Tech Stack

Below are some of the technologies we are building with:

  • AWS : DynamoDB, EKS/EC2 (pods, clusters, nodes, docker), IAM role management, Terraform (and TF Cloud)
  • Node.js, Hapi, Typescript

Three interviews, one coding task. First is a general interview, then the coding task. The second interview is technical, going over code from the task and discussing other technical questions. The third interview is a chance to meet some more of our team who you’ll be working with.
