About the Role

The Finance Manager is responsible for all areas related to financial reporting. As a head of the finance team, this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to meet the business needs in a best way and to ensure accurate and timely financial statements for management, group and state institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and supervising day-to-day accounting and finance operations and transactions, including the monthly and quarterly closing procedures within deadlines
  • Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  • Ensuring all the relevant taxation and transfer pricing principles are applied
  • Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls
  • Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads
  • Coordinating preparation of audit materials and communication with auditors
  • Preparation of the Annual Report
  • Supporting project managers by analyzing and clarifying the administrative conditions and reporting requirements of different funding programs. Ensuring compliance with project reporting requirements by exploring relevant documentation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising on needed actions.
  • Developing of existing ERP and implementation of the new financial systems coordinated by the group finance department
  • Serving as a key liaison between the finance department and other business units
  • Supervising and developing the accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a financial manager or senior accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls
  • Proficient in using financial ERP software and s/sheet applications (eg Microsoft Excel)
  • Experience with Directo
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Systematic way of thinking, attention to details
  • Strong communication in English and Estonian, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proactive, positive and oriented to cooperation
  • Experience in a similar industry is an advantage
